Application:
KlearWell 486 ChlorStop is used above ground in a tank or holding pond, after chlorinated water from the well has been pumped out, as follows:
- Measure the remaining chlorine level in the water, and calculate the dosage of KlearWell 486 ChlorStop needed for neutralization, as indicated on the table below.
- Mix KlearWell 486 ChlorStop with the chlorinated water. The chlorine levels will be neutralized almost immediately. If dechlorinating a large volume, dissolve KlearWell ChlorStop in 1 gallon of water for every pound of KlearWell 486 ChlorStop required. Some heat is generated upon dilution.
- Discharge to an approved outlet.
- This product is not considered dangerous and does not require special handling or disposal.
- Not regulated as a hazardous material under 49CFR 172.101, RECRA, SARA and CERCLA.
- 10 pound containers can be shipped by UPS ground delivery.

The above table shows the amount (Ib or kg) of KlearWell 486 ChlorStop that is necessary to mix into various volumes of discharge water to neutralize a specific chlorine concentration level. Example: To neutralize a 1,000- gal tank of well discharge with a chlorine concentration of 180 ppm, dissolve 1.8 Ib of KlearWell 486 ChlorStop into approximately 2 gal of water then add to the tank.
